![]() Last year’s sold out arena tour produced some of the most iconic moments from the group - including Dahyun’s L.A. “Even through words alone, hearing the size and scale, we thought, ‘Are we even able to go to such a big and great venue and perform there?’ Then when we went to Billboard’s Women In Music, and it was actually next to the venue so we got to see what it looked like. ![]() All eight members turn their heads toward her direction to listen. “When we first heard about the stadium shows, I don't think it really sunk in,” Jihyo, TWICE’s leader, says. ![]() Sana piggybacks off her and adds, “More than shocking, seeing people passing by celebrities and greeting each other so friendly on the red carpet was really fascinating!” She tilts her head a couple of times smiling, mimicking how people greeted each other so casually on the red carpet. “The way they took photos was so different but cool,” Jihyo, TWICE’s leader, says. The topic of Billboard’s Women In Music continues as Jihyo and Sana share the cultural differences in working the red carpet in South Korea and the U.S. “It was really cool and exciting attending and meeting a lot of other artists.” It’s been a trip of firsts.“We’ve never been to an awards ceremony in the US before,” Momo, the group’s dancing machine (or “Dancing Mochine”), says. There were lots of chances to meet our fans up close for the first time in a while, so it’s been really good.” “We’ve been taking on new challenges and even won a great award. “It’s our first time having a comeback like this in the US,” Nayeon, TWICE’s eldest, says. It’s a culmination of the past two weeks of promotions. It’s going to be a long day for them the group will hold their comeback live for those around the world to watch later this evening. In a 68th floor conference room, Jihyo, Nayeon, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Momo, Dahyun, Sana, Mina, and Jeongyeon sit across from me at a long table, all in good spirits.
